Remove the fungus from the pram

In most families, this “transport” is transmitted from the oldest child to the youngest. But when the time comes for the new “passenger” to take his seat, you may find that the fabric upholstery is covered with fungus. It is ugly and dangerous to the health of the child. It is worth using one of two methods, how to remove mold from fabric on a stroller.

Local spots

  1. Mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste-like mass.
  2. Spread the mixture on mold spots.
  3. After three to five minutes, rub the treated area with an old toothbrush. For convenience, moisten it in water.
  4. Rinse the baking soda off the stroller.
  5. Using a soapy solution and a sponge, wipe the entire fabric surface.
Soda is a natural and safe antiseptic. The substance will perfectly cope with the fungus. After such treatment of the stroller, you can not be afraid that the child will have irritation or an allergic reaction.

Heavy pollution

  1. Before washing mold from a fabric in a pram, treat the entire surface with turpentine. Do not spare money, the fabric should be well soaked with it.
  2. Moisten a sponge in water, sprinkle with soda and begin to rub the surface intensively.
  3. Dissolve three tablespoons of washing powder and peroxide in 2 l of water. Treat the stroller with this compound, applying over soda.
  4. Wash with clean water, then wipe with water acidified with vinegar.
  5. Wipe the surface dry.
After washing, soda may remain on the surface of the fabric. To completely remove particles, the stroller must be thoroughly vacuumed.

Black Plaque Prevention

None of the methods guarantee complete disposal of the fungus. Even if no traces are visible on the surface of the fabric, there may be live spores between the fibers and after some time, mold spots may appear again. So that you do not have to look for ways to remove mold stains from clothing, follow preventive measures.

  • Do not rush to hide a thing. After ironing clothes or bedding, wait 15-20 minutes until things are completely cool. If you use a steamer, you can put things on a shelf no earlier than half an hour later.
  • Do not stuff the cupboard. In order not to create favorable conditions for the appearance of the fungus, do not clog the closet with things. There should be enough free space for air to circulate.
  • Dry things regularly. At least once a year, the entire contents of the cabinets must be removed and aired in the open air.
  • Handle the cabinet. While things dry on the street, treat the shelves with a damp rag soaked in water acidified with vinegar and wipe dry. This is necessary so that the mold in the closet with clothes does not appear.
  • Install the cabinet correctly. Do not place furniture close to the wall. When installing the cabinet, it is necessary to observe a small indent (3-5 cm) to ensure normal air circulation.
  • Ventilate the room. In any weather, ventilate the room daily for a quarter of an hour. At the same time, the cabinet doors must be open.
  • Store clean items separately. If on a shelf with clean T-shirts you put the thing that you went around all day, this will be the first step to spreading fungi and germs.
  • Exclude contact. If you are packing seasonal items for long-term storage, put plastic bags between them.
Things can “catch” mold not only in the closet, but also in the washing machine. To prevent the development of fungi, wipe and dry the drum. Keep the door ajar for continuous ventilation.

Noticing mold on the fabric, first of all take care of your own health. Fungi can cause allergic reactions, itching, redness and a rash. Once in the airways, spores cause a strong cough and sneeze. From things stored in the closet, the fungus can spread throughout the house. Therefore, having noticed the slightest hints, it is necessary to find effective ways to remove mold from cloth and clothing. And do not pull with the treatment, because over time, the fungus will destroy the structure of the fibers, and the thing will be hopelessly spoiled.
